The first chapter club was founded in 1990 in Santa Rosa, California. Through the blessings of the Holy Spirit, CP&BC chapters have continued to grow throughout the nation.
The national CP&BC organization was incorporated in 2003, and supports the chapters by providing an annual national conference, formation advising, speaker sources, and various other support services.

If you are Catholic or have an interest in the Catholic faith and hearing some of the best Catholic speakers anywhere, then you are invited to become a member of the Catholic Professional & Business Club of the Diocese of Fresno. At our breakfast meeting, the Club strives to provide speakers who are successful leaders in their field. They are men and women with a message to encourage and motivate our members to live an exemplary Catholic life style in their own business and personal environments. They are given an opportunity to share their faith, network and deepen their relation with God. We look forward to seeing you at our breakfast meetings. They will be the best morning you spend each month.

The CIvic Friary® is a haven in today’s culturally starved climate of recycled skepticism, offering a refreshing and welcome break for you…a break from today’s hectic, “throw-away culture” of “busy-ness” and activity for activity’s sake…all while providing a new perspective on how prayer undergirds our active work and family life by animating our interior spiritual life. While Civic Friars prepare food to nourish the body, we are ever mindful of the Gospel according to St. John the Evangelist, Chapter Six, where Jesus tells us He is “the Bread of Life.”
We have Many Ministries in Catholic Action. At its base, this is a group for anyone interested in Prayer and Cooking. OUR VISION: Holiness through Virtue
OUR MISSION: To promote and support virtue-building programs that serve Catholic men’s call to live in the fullness of grace, guided by the Holy Spirit, through the leadership of our Bishop.
Under the patronage of St. Joseph, we seek to support, strengthen and embolden the spiritual growth of Catholic men through prayer, formation, fellowship, and evangelization. Through programs and events, we seek to help men grow in holiness and to live their faith in their marriages, families, workplaces, communities, and parishes. We seek to work with existing ministries and organizations in the diocese to combine efforts and resources so as to better serve Catholic men. We aspire to hold regular fellowship and formation events, develop a men’s retreat league, a formation-coaching series aimed at business executives, and an annual men’s conference in the diocese.
He saved us and called us to a holy life 2 Timothy 1:9

Men's Phases of Life podcasts
A friend and mentor of mine (David English) has written and recorded a series of very insightful and accurate concepts related to the emotional and spiritual phases of men's lives from 18-70. I have benefited from these in every stage of my life and wanted to pass them along to you. Click here for more info and podcasts.

If you are interested in getting together with some other Houseboat guys on a more regular basis (lunch, breakfast, weekends), let me know what part of town you are in, and I'll see what I can do to help. Here is a resource you can listen to, or use for discussion...Men's Phases of Life.

Founded in Denver in 2005, it has been held in many locations around the country and annually attracts hundreds of singles from all over the United States and internationally.

The St. Gertrude Catholic Men's Fellowship aims to encourage men to gather within their parish communities to support each other via, prayer, sharing and fellowship. There are now over 200 such parish groups in the greater Cincinnati area (see the Cincinnati Catholic Men's Fellowship web site at http://www.thecall.org).
St. Gertrude's Men's Fellowship Group meets every 2nd and 4th Saturday in the school cafeteria from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. Coffee and doughnuts are served and we promise to start and end promptly.
The St. Gertrude Catholic Men's Fellowship aims to encourage men to gather in support of one another, in a faith based environment, so as to form stronger and happier families to better cope with the stresses men face each day.
We gather each 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month in the St. Gertrude School Cafeteria from 7:30 am to 9:00 am Coffee and doughnuts are served and we end promptly at 9:00 am.
We discuss our lives in the light of our Catholic faith and share experiences that will benefit us as husbands, fathers and members of the community. We socialize, pray and discuss our faith as well as issues we are grappling with in our everyday lives. In this way, we support, affirm and offer insights to one another about the challenges men encounter in both their home and work lives.
Members of the St. Gertrude Catholic Men's Fellowship strive to reinforce Christian values. We reach out to share those values with others in the group and more broadly within our community. The benefits are clear as we:
Cultivate faith based friendships among fellow parishioners, and
Have fun, and
Learn from one another!
Background
Our Vision sees small pockets of men, meeting in Parishes, linked as Brothers in Jesus Christ so as to prayerfully – and unconditionally – support one another. To raise awareness and create excitement, we organized massive gatherings of Catholic men under the “ANSWER THE CALL” banner. Those events began right here at St. Gertrude in 1995, when Fr. Clem Burns was Pastor, and he hosted the very first Catholic Men’s Conference. We had to turn men away at that initial gathering as the Parish Center was overflowing!
During our peak years, over 10,000 men gathered for a day, in many of the large venues around Cincinnati, to hear nationally recognized Speakers. We celebrated Holy Mass and the Sacrament of Reconciliation with our local Archbishop, area Bishops and over 100 Priests and Deacons. It was awe inspiring to see thousands of men witnessing to their Catholic faith. Our Cincinnati community took notice, as did many cities around the U. S., and this movement took off.
What started in Cincinnati 25 years ago has spread throughout the United States and beyond to places like Guam for example. Events like our “ANSWER THE CALL” Men’s Conferences have been held in more than 60 cities over the years and there are countless Parish based Men’s Fellowship groups active around the country.
All of this has more to do with many men listening to this “call” on their lives, from the Holy Spirit, and responding to it.
