Thank you in advance for volunteering for the 2019 Cincinnati Men's Conference!

Parish Captain: (Purpose of a Parish Captain)
-To sell tickets and help get as many men as possible to attend the Cincinnati Men’s Conference (CMC).
-To take ownership of their designated parish and be the go-to person and communicator to their parish on behalf of CMC.
-Work with the parish Priest to make sure he announces the event at Sunday masses and encourages his parish to attend the conference. Ask if you can make an announcement before or after the masses if the Priest prefer that.
-Make sure a blurb on the conference (written for you to copy and paste below) is inserted and included in their parish bulletin as often as possible leading up to the conference date. (This is a mandatory action.)
-Make sure the CMC poster is hanging in the vestibule (entrance of church) from now until the conference. Contact Joe Higgins to get a poster and flyers mailed to you.
-Make social media posts as instructed from Joe Higgins (facebook / twitter / instagram) about the conference. (This is a mandatory action.)
-Make a group ticket order. Be the point person to pull together 20 or more men at your parish and make a Group Ticket Order for the men at your parish. Men can be found from your parish’s Men’s Groups, Fathers Groups and the like. The Group Ticket Order form will give the men in your group the best price possible. (This is a mandatory action.)

Conference Theme: Being A Family Man!
Join the 2019 Cincinnati Men's Conference with your friends and loved ones to hear uplifting and inspirational testimonials from 3 speakers who know how to put family first for God. There is nothing more beneficial on this Father's day weekend than to spend a half-day of bonding with dad to listen to the following speakers and get inspired about bettering our families for God.

Matt Birk, Super Bowl Champ
Matt lived out his faith during his football career. Matt was recognized for his community service work by winning the prestigious Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award in 2011.
Upon winning the Super Bowl in 2013, Matt declined an invitation to go the White House, citing then President Barack Obama’s support for Planned Parenthood as the reason. Matt strives to not only talk about the Faith, but live it as well. Matt has 8 children and will be sharing his stories on family, sports, work / life balance and the incident that caught national attention when he courageously stood up for the Pro-Life movement and publicly declined Obama's invitation to the White House to take a stand against abortion and Planned Parenthood.

Coach Rich Donnelly, Major League Baseball Coach
Coach Rich Donnelly coached in the Major Leagues for over 25 years, and is a current coach for the New York Mets. Other teams have included the Los Angeles Dodgers, Milwaukee Brewers, (Pittsburgh, Florida, Colorado), earning a World Series ring with Florida in 1997, Rangers (1983-1985) and manager in the Texas Rangers minor league system from 1972-1982 where he was honored as the Western Carolinas League Manager of the Year from 1972-74.
Coach Donnelly has 8 children and will be sharing his heart grasping, inspirational family stories about "the chicken runs at midnight" and his daughters' first-hand experiences of surviving the Vegas shooting (a nightmare phone call no parent wants to recieve.)

Father Leo Patalinghug, Founder Of Plating Grace
No one says family time like Father Leo! What are you hungry for?! Fr. Leo is the host and founder of Plating Grace, an apostolate to strengthen families and communities around the dinner table. His unique background as a two-time black belt martial arts instructor and choreographer for an award-winning break-dancing group has caught the attention of many media and entertainment outlets, from ABC, PBS, NBC, FOX, the Cooking Channel, and also the Food Network where Fr. Leo defeated the world-famous chef in a competition called, “Throw Down with Bobby Flay!”
Father will refresh all of us on the importance of sharing meals together and eating as a family. He currently resides in Baltimore and is the host of a weekly international TV show, "Savoring Our Faith" on EWTN.
